We crafted the installation in three phases, first the technology, programming the LED matrix to respond to music input. Next we developed the music with Anita Clarke of Motte, this is where the story and intention developed, an unfurling composition with moments of eerie stillness, of expansive wonder, of isolation and trepidation. Finally we integrated Jareen and Seb, incredible contemporary dancers into this new environment/world. Space Dome debuted at Highlight Festival.
Space Dome is a movement and light performance installation. Our vision was to embody isolation within the void of space.
