This apparatus was originally designed by Mädir Eugster Rigolo of Swiss Nouveau Cirque, the apparatus was introduced to Aotearoa by acclaimed aerialist and original Libel artist Jenny Ritchie. The Aotearoa iteration of Libel was further developed in collaboration between Jenny and Movement of the Human.
Performing as part of the The Architecture and Design Awards gala evening called for a piece which was unique, sculptural and considered. We were featured in the opening moment, setting the tone and focus for the night, a celebration of all things design.
