Every year was an amazing challenge to take a theme for the overall event and cast or invent performance that both fit the theme and also elegantly included an element of light. This wasn’t allways easy but more often than not having those sort of creative boundaries result in the best outcomes.
We created such a huge range of illuminated works which took a range of forms: productions, roaming pieces, installations large and small! Many of which you can see within Case Studies aound our website.
The festivals inaugural event in Lower Hutt shattered expectations, drawing around 120,000 attendees over four nights. There were 5 hugely successful festivals.
We were approached to join the Highlight festival team as ‘Performance Curators and Creators.’ A roll we very enthusiastically agreed to and held for the life of the festival! We were gifted a huge amount of trust to explore & deliver some pretty bold projects. To this date some of those projects easily sit in our favorites.
